Kathmandu and Chitwan Tour – 6 Days

You will explore Durbar Square, Pashupatinath temple, Swayambhunath stupa and Bouddhanath stupa which are all world heritage sites. Durbar Square reveals the life of the royals in ancient times. Pashupatinath temple is one of the most significant places of pilgrimage for all Hindus. Swayambhunath, the Monkey Temple and Baudhanath Stupa are one of the largest stupas in the world. After breakfast, we drive to Chitwan which takes about 6 hours. Upon arrival have a welcome drink for refreshment, and briefing about the afternoon program. After having lunch, we visit Tharu village which will grant you an exhilarating experience. We can observe Tharus who are the indigenous inhabitant of Terai, their culture and lifestyle. We extend managed cultural tours to meet the people and experience their traditional self-sufficient way of life. Also, Chitwan National Park has long been one of the country’s reserves of natural spectacles. The park is resided in south-central Nepal, covering 932 sq. km. in the subtropical lowlands of the Terai. Overnight in Chitwan.

Chitwan National Park is habitat to more than 50 mammal species, over 525 birds, and 55 amphibians and reptiles. The endangered species found in the park are One-horned Rhinoceros, Gaur, Royal Bengal Tiger, Wild Elephant, Four-horned Antelope, Pangolin, Gangetic Dolphin, Gharial Crocodile, Golden Monitor Lizard, Python, etc. Amongst birds, one can witness Bengal Florican, Lesser Florican, Giant Hornbill, Black Stork, White Stork, etc. You can experience Elephant back safari, Elephant Bathing, Crocodile Walk, Canoe Trip and Jeep safari in Chitwan National Park. In the evening you will get an opportunity to be a part of the Tharu folk dance program performed by Tharus in traditional colorful costumes that will be an unforgettable experience. Early in the morning, you experience the fresh Nature walk with our experienced naturalist who will accompany and introduce you to more specialized habitats. This is an excellent chance to explore and experience at a closer compound of the beauty of wildlife. You will also enjoy the activities like Bird Watching, over 450 species of a domestic and exotic bird, as well as migratory birds. Then you can visit the Elephant Breeding Center which is the first Elephant breeding center in Asia. You can see baby elephants socializing with their parents and other babies and its purpose is to raise, train and tame the baby elephants. After lunch, we drive back to Kathmandu. Overnight in the hotel.
