Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu, Transfer to Hotel.

After landing at the Tribhuwan International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative staff who will drop you off at the hotel. You will check-in at the hotel, freshen up and take a rest. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Fly to Pokhara then trek to Tikhe Dhunga (1495 m)

You will take an early morning flight to Pokhara. The lakeside city of Pokhara is a beautiful tourism-hub of the country and is also called the adventure-center of Nepal. Many mountain peaks like Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhre, and Annapurna can be observed from the city. Pokhara is also famous for its pristine Fewa Lake. The reflection of the Machhapuchhre Himal can be viewed on clear days on the surface of the Phewa lake. Recreation activities like boating and fishing can also be done in the lake. From Pokhara, we will then drive to Nayapul (42 km) in a car/taxi, passing the village of Lumle. After walking for about 20 minutes, we will reach Birethanti. As we follow the main street of Birethanti, we will go through dense forests of bamboos and past a large waterfall and a swimming hole. Crossing across the pastureland that are mostly used for pony caravans, we will reach the village of Ramghai where we rest for our lunch. After that, we will reach Tikhe Dhunga. Overnight stay at Tikhe Dhunga.

Day 3: Trek to Ghorepani (2850 m)

The trail continues across a stream via a suspension bridge from Tikhe Dhunga near the campsite and ascends to the steep stone staircase to the Magar village of Ulleri. The stone staircase probably has 3300 steps and the tracks through it are quite beautiful. Ulleri lies at an elevation of 2080 meters. Above the village, the path continues smoothly across pasturelands and beautiful cultivated fields of mustard and rice. We will reach a campsite for a rest and a water stop after an hour’s walk from Ulleri. The trail proceeds across two small rivers before finally climbing to Nangethanti. During winters, the tracks to the village are usually covered in snow. From Nangethanti we will climb to Ghorepani which is at the elevation of 2850 m. We can observe the spectacular panorama of Dhaulagiri I (8167 m), Tukuche Nilgiri (6940 m), Annapurna I (8091 m), Hiunchuli (6441 m) and Tarke Kang (7193 m). Overnight at Ghorepani.

Day 4: Trek to Tadapani (2500 m) Via. Poonhill (3210 m)

The day’s trekking provides one of the journey’s major highlights, a visit to Poon Hill to take in one of the most panoramic vistas in the Himalayas, with matchless views of Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna massif at sunrise. After a suitable pause to savor the awe-inspiring scenery the trek continues towards Tadapani along one of the most superb trails filled with the immediacy of lush forests and abundant wildlife on either side of the soaring peaks in the background serving as an impossibly picturesque backdrop.

Day 5: Tadapani to Sinuwa (2310 m)

From scenic Tadapani, we cross through the Kyumrung Khola-river, continue to Gurjung (2040 m), Talung (2155 m), Chomrong (2220 m) and reach Sinuwa (2335 m). The path then begins the long climbing high above the west bank of the Modi Khola. We pass the village of Chhomrong which lies tucked at the very base of Himal Chuli and is one of the most scenically captivating Gurung villages in the region. From Chhomrong the trail descends until Chhomrong Khola then the trail begins a slow climb as we head up to our destination for the day – Sinuwa.

Day 6: Sinuwa to Deurali (3150 m)

We proceed to Kuldi Ghar from Deurali after walking about 2 to 3 hrs. There is a clearing in the jungle a little further on from where the route goes very steeply down a bank of rock and then levels out, running through brambles of bamboo at the bottom of the gorge, keeping always on the west side of the river. We pass by the meadow of Tomo, and then the very end of the gorge at Pantheon Barah, where there are a small path and a shrine. The path ascends to the Himalaya hotel at the campsite where we will overnight. Overnight at Deurali.

Day 7: Trek from Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4210 m)

The trail mounts steadily through to the legendary base camp made popular by the likes of Herzog, Bonnington, and Messner. The glorious panoramas and close-up of the Annapurna massif and the nearby glacier are ample rewards for the long journey. Annapurna Base Camp offers spectacular views of the mountain peaks and lets you experience the wide vastness of snowy terrain and close views of huge Himal. The panorama at the Annapurna Base camp is thrilling and charming and the overall scene of whole mountain peaks is pretty amazing. Overnight at Annapurna Base Camp.

Day 8: ABC to Pokhara by Helicopter and back to Kathmandu by flight.

This is another most anticipated day of the trek as today; you will be experiencing one of the most amazing helicopter rides from the base camp of Annapurna back to Pokhara early in the morning. The aerial panorama of the mountain peaks from the helicopter is something that stimulates both thrill and excitement. Glancing below, you would be able to observe the dramatic change in the landscape as the snowy lands of the high mountains are replaced with the lush hills, terrace farmlands, and forests. Sometimes, herds of wild goats can be seen running below from helicopter. The beautiful landscape of the Annapurna region does not disappoint when seen from a bird’s eye perspective. The panoramic scene of the whole terrain manifests itself like a beguiling portrait. After we will land at Pokhara we will take an afternoon flight back to Kathmandu.
