Introduction

Kathmandu is a historically important place. The Kathmandu and Chitwan tour is an easy and adventurous tour option for all visitors. In this tour, you will visit the historically significant and culturally rich capital city Kathmandu, and the exquisite wildlife habitat Chitwan. The best time to visit Kathmandu is between October and December as the skies are usually bright and the scenes are magnificent. You can also visit between March and April as the temperature steadily mounts and spring moves in and rhododendrons thrive, spreading across the whole valley, giving it a stunning, mesmerizing glimpse.

During this tour, you will visit historical sites, temples and courteous areas of Kathmandu. You get to visit the Pilgrimage sites of Hindu temple, Pashupatinath which is one of the most significant shrines of Shiva temples and is home to thousands of devotees and sadhus. Similarly, you visit Boudhanath, a pilgrimage center which is a very popular and significant place for Buddhists and Swyambhunath also known as monkey temple sat on the hill on the southwest part of Kathmandu valley. Then you visit the Patan Durbar Square and Kathmandu Durbar square where we encounter many temples, ancient architecture, and fine art as well as living goddess KUMARI.
Chitwan is another attractive tourist destination in Nepal where you enjoy wildlife activities as well as get an opportunity to observe an ethnic group of Tharu. You can experience the picturesque Tharu culture and tradition, lifestyle and heart touching cultural Tharu Dance which is the traditional dance of Tharu Culture. Chitwan National Park is one of the major places to visit in Chitwan. It is full of several mammals, birds, reptiles and water animals. You can witness rare one horn rhino, various species of deer, sloth bear, leopards, crocodiles, and monkeys as well as many various species of butterflies, insects & over 450 species of pleasant & endangered birds. The best time to visit Chitwan is from February to May.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu, Transfer to Hotel.

After landing at the Tribhuwan International Airport, you will be greeted by our representative staff who will drop you off at the hotel. You will check-in at the hotel, freshen up and take a rest. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Kathmandu sightseeing

You will explore Durbar Square, Pashupatinath temple, Swayambhunath stupa and Bouddhanath stupa which are all world heritage sites. Durbar Square reveals the life of the royals in ancient times. Pashupatinath temple is one of the most significant places of pilgrimage for all Hindus. Swayambhunath, the Monkey Temple and Baudhanath Stupa are one of the largest stupas in the world. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 3: Kathmandu to Chitwan

After breakfast, we drive to Chitwan which takes about 6 hours. Upon arrival have a welcome drink for refreshment, and briefing about the afternoon program. After having lunch, we visit Tharu village which will grant you an exhilarating experience. We can observe Tharus who are the indigenous inhabitant of Terai, their culture and lifestyle. We extend managed cultural tours to meet the people and experience their traditional self-sufficient way of life. Also, Chitwan National Park has long been one of the country’s reserves of natural spectacles. The park is resided in south-central Nepal, covering 932 sq. km. in the subtropical lowlands of the Terai. Overnight in Chitwan.

Day 4: Chitwan National Park tour

Chitwan National Park is habitat to more than 50 mammal species, over 525 birds, and 55 amphibians and reptiles. The endangered species found in the park are One-horned Rhinoceros, Gaur, Royal Bengal Tiger, Wild Elephant, Four-horned Antelope, Pangolin, Gangetic Dolphin, Gharial Crocodile, Golden Monitor Lizard, Python, etc. Amongst birds, one can witness Bengal Florican, Lesser Florican, Giant Hornbill, Black Stork, White Stork, etc. You can experience Elephant back safari, Elephant Bathing, Crocodile Walk, Canoe Trip and Jeep safari in Chitwan National Park. In the evening you will get an opportunity to be a part of the Tharu folk dance program performed by Tharus in traditional colorful costumes that will be an unforgettable experience. Overnight in Chitwan.

Day 5: Chitwan to Kathmandu

Early in the morning, you experience the fresh Nature walk with our experienced naturalist who will accompany and introduce you to more specialized habitats. This is an excellent chance to explore and experience at a closer compound of the beauty of wildlife. You will also enjoy the activities like Bird Watching, over 450 species of a domestic and exotic bird, as well as migratory birds. Then you can visit the Elephant Breeding Center which is the first Elephant breeding center in Asia. You can see baby elephants socializing with their parents and other babies and its purpose is to raise, train and tame the baby elephants. After lunch, we drive back to Kathmandu. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 6: Departure from Kathmandu to your destination.

We thank you for being a part of our tour and travel. We bid you farewell and drop-off at the airport, or the opportunity to join another of our programs. Our representatives will drop you at the airport 3 hours before the scheduled time of your flight.
