Introduction

Kathmandu Chitwan Lumbini Pokhara Tour is a glimpse at the extensive scenery of Nepal. During this trip you will experience altitudes from lowlands of 100 meters above sea level to the high Himalayan elevations.

Kathmandu

The beginning of your trip is marked by a visit to the world heritage sites and religious sites in Kathmandu. These include the Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), Pashupatinath Temple and Bouddhanath Stupa. Our professional tour guide assists you at these places, so that you can fully comprehend the historical and religious significance of these structures.

Chitwan

The tour also takes you to the Chitwan National Park, which is the first National Park of Nepal (established in 1973). It is listed on the UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1984. More than 43 species of mammals are found in the park here. The park is especially renowned for its protection of the endangered One-horned Rhino, Royal Bengal Tiger, and Gharial, along with many other species of wild animals. You will have the chance to observe the Cultural dance of the Tharu people and their lifestyles too. The local Guide will lead you while Jungle Walking, Bird Watching, Elephant Back Riding, Canyoning and during your Village tour and Cultural programs in this trip.

Lumbini

The Kathmandu Chitwan Lumbini Pokhara Tour also takes you to Lumbini- the birthplace of Lord Buddha. It is a Buddhist pilgrimage site situated in the Rupandehi district of Nepal. Lumbini is the place where Queen Maya Devi gave birth to Siddhartha Gautama in 623 BC. Every year more than 400,000 Buddhists and non-Buddhists visit the Lumbini. It is also recognized by UNESCO World Heritage Site and holds immense archeological and religious importance. This is one of the places you must definitely visit once in your life.

Pokhara

Lastly, you will visit the beautiful city of Pokhara, and this is the second biggest city of Nepal. You will visit Gupteshwor Mahadev cave, Devi’s fall, a Tibetan refugee camp, and the International Mountaineering Museum. Boating on the Fewa Lake, visiting Barahi Temple, and a hike to the World Peace Stupa above the lake is the prime highlight of this section of your trip.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

On your arrival, our staff will greet you at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu and escort you to the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Sightseeing in Kathmandu

You will explore Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath temple, Swayambhunath stupa and Bouddhanath stupa which are all world heritage sites. Kathmandu Durbar Square reveals the life of the royals in ancient times. Pashupatinath temple is one of the most significant places of pilgrimage for all Hindus. Swayambhunath, the Monkey Temple and Baudhanath Stupa are one of the largest stupas in the world. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 3: Sightseeing in Patan and Bhaktapur

Today we visit Patan Durbar Square and Bhaktapur Durbar which are full of rich cultural art, architecture and divine idols. Both of these Durbar Squares are listed in the World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Patan Durbar Square is a historic place that is rich in arts and architecture. Besides Patan Durbar Square, Krishna Temple built around the 17th-century dedicated to the Hindu god Krishna is another major attraction. It is said that the temple was built by carving a single rock. We will also visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square which is a traditional city that has a unique culture and lifestyle. Nyatapole Temple, The Golden Gate, the National Art Gallery, Bhairavnath Temple, Dattatreya Temple, and 55 Window Palace are the major attractions that lure tourists here. Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 4: Drive/Fly to Pokhara

Early in the morning, after breakfast, we will drive to Pokhara. It is around six hours drive. Or you can catch a flight to Pokhara which takes about 45 minutes. En route, you will see Trishuli River, lush hills and small villages by the side of highways. Upon our arrival in Pokhara, you feel as if giant mountain walls eternally welcoming you. We will have our lunch on the way to Pokhara. The rest of the time you will visit Phewa Lake and boating around there. You can spend your time strolling in the streets of this lake city. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 5: Pokhara Sightseeing

On this day, early in the morning, we head towards Sarangkot which presents us with a beautiful sunrise view. It is a hill from where we can enjoy Annapurna and Dhaulagiri in the north and observe Pokhara to its south. The sunrise view from this place is an amazing experience. The way the sun kisses the snow-capped peak is not expressed in words. After sunrise view from Sarangkot, we move towards Pokhara and explore all popular landmarks of this lake city. Davis Falls, Shiva Cave, Mahendra Cave, and visit Bindhyabashini Temple are today’s major activities and attractions of Pokhara. We will also observe the International Mountain Museum (IMM) where we can observe different relics related to mountain climbing and mountaineers. We also visit the World Peace Pagoda that presents us with the mesmerizing and amazing spectacle of the Pokhara city. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 6: Drive to Chitwan

After morning breakfast, we will drive for Chitwan. Upon arrival have a welcome drink for refreshment, and briefing about the afternoon program. After having lunch, we visit Tharu village which will grant you an exhilarating experience. We can observe Tharus who are the indigenous inhabitant of Terai, their culture and lifestyle. We extend managed cultural tours to meet the people and experience their traditional self-sufficient way of life. Also, Chitwan National Park has long been one of the country’s reserves of natural spectacles. The park is resided in south-central Nepal, covering 932 sq. km. in the subtropical lowlands of the Terai. Overnight in Chitwan.

Day 7: Chitwan National Park Safari

Chitwan National Park is habitat to more than 50 mammal species, over 525 birds, and 55 amphibians and reptiles. Some of the endangered species found in the park are One-horned Rhinoceros, Gaur, Royal Bengal Tiger, Wild Elephant, Four-horned Antelope, Pangolin, Gangetic Dolphin, Gharial Crocodile, Golden Monitor Lizard, Python, etc. Amongst birds, one can witness Bengal Florican, Lesser Florican, Giant Hornbill, Black Stork, White Stork, etc. You can experience Elephant back safari, Elephant Bathing, Crocodile Walk, Canoe Trip in Chitwan National Park. In the evening you will get an opportunity to be a part of the Tharu folk dance program performed by Tharus in traditional colorful costumes that will be an unforgettable experience. Overnight in Chitwan.

Day 8: Drive from Chitwan to Lumbini

Lumbini is a 192 km scenic drive from Chitwan. After breakfast, we head towards Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha. We will enjoy lunch after reaching Lumbini. We visit the Maya Devi Temple. We will visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Lumbini and explore around. Overnight accommodation in a hotel.

Day 9: Lumbini UNESCO World Heritage Tour

Today we will visit some popular places of Lumbini such as Maya Devi temple, ancient Kapil Vastu city, Birthmark stone, holy Puskarni Lake, Ashoka pillar, Lumbini Museum, Idol of Maya Devi, World Peace Stupa and different monasteries. As we know that Lumbini is the birthplace of Lord Buddha and is the most sacred pilgrim site for Buddhists all over the world. The Maya Devi temple houses the ruins of the home where Siddhartha Gautam was born in 623 BC. We also visit numerous stupas that have been built by Buddhist worshippers from many countries. Lumbini is a charming and peaceful place where pilgrims from all over the world come to incantation and meditate. Other attractions are the sacred Bodhi tree and the Puskarni or Holy Pond where Queen Maya Devi took the ritual dip before Lord Buddha was born and had his first bath. After exploration, overnight at the hotel.

Day 10: Drive to Kathmandu

After breakfast, we drive for Kathmandu from Chitwan. After we arrive in Kathmandu you can rest or stroll around the streets of Thamel and Aasan. You can also purchase some souvenirs as a token of love for you and your friends and family. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 11: Departure from Nepal

We thank you for being a part of our tour and travel. We bid you farewell and drop-off at the airport, or the opportunity to join another of our programs. Our representatives will drop you at the airport 3 hours before the scheduled time of your flight. Time to say good bye and see you soon for next trip to Nepal.

It was an awesome and memorable traveling to these places. There were many cultural things to observe and the most amazing things were the services provided by the company.
