Also, Nepal is bestowed with astonishing and unique sites and has one of the highest concentrations of the sites recognized by UNESCO as World Heritage Sites.
Kathmandu Valley UNESCO Tour takes you through the old gallis (alleys) of Patan Durbar Square where timeless wood and stone carvings of hundreds of Hindu and Buddhist idols greet you from every temple wall. You can admire the countless designs on wood carved windows and the architectural achievements of Newar craftsmen of centuries ago. The stone-carved Krishna temple is one of the most amazing craftsmanship in the old Malla palace and the row of pagoda temples enriching the Durbar Square is a sight to see. The Patan Durbar Square is beautiful and filled with rich culture and architecture. You can also visit Swayambhunath and Baudhanath where you can enjoy a blissful time away from the noise and chaos of the city. Spinning hundreds of prayer wheels that encircle the main domes and becoming a part of spiritual enchantments and prayers that take place in the evenings gives you a whole new experience.
Kathmandu Valley UNESCO Tour will allow you to visit four popular heritage sites such as Patan Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath Temple, and Baudhanath Stupa in Kathmandu valley. These packages include sightseeing in heritage sites. The tour is very suitable for those who want to enjoy the cultural and historical sites of Nepal. This tour can be commenced all-round the year.
After you arrive in Kathmandu, our representative will pick you up from the airport. We will begin our tour with a drive towards Pashupatinath Temple in a private vehicle. Pashupatinath Temple is located in the eastern part of Kathmandu valley on the bank of the holy Bagmati River. Pashupatinath Temple is one of the sacred temples of Hindus in Nepal devoted to Lord Shiva. Over a million devotees visit this temple every year to worship Shiva during the significant festival of Maha Shivaratri.
After that, you will continue your tour towards the largest stupa of Nepal, Boudhanath Stupa, which was believed to be found in the chronicles of Newar. You will find many monasteries around the main stupa. The whole premises have a strong Tibetan culture influence.
After exploring the stupa, you will move towards Swayambhunath Temple also known as the Monkey Temple. The main stupa is located at the top of a hill, and you have to climb the long stair to reach the stupa. The climb will be full of excitement as you will be accompanied by monkeys. The complex includes several shrines and temples. Recently a Tibetan monastery, library, and a museum are also added at the top where you can get to know more about the history of the Swayambhunath.
Then we move towards Patan Durbar Square which is located in the heart of Lalitpur. Patan Durbar Square represents the Newari architecture that had reached its crest during the reign of Malla kings who were great architects and patrons of the arts and architecture. Some of the major highlights of Patan Durbar Square are Krishna Temple, Patan Museum, Golden Temple and Sundari Chowk, etc.
