The trekking route in the Annapurna region provides you with the best spectacular place in the world. From Pokhara, you can witness some fabulous views of Annapurna South, Mt.Fish tail. The trekking route takes you to Poon Hill, a popular viewpoint (3194 m.) that boasts views of the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Himalayan Range.

The Annapurna Base Camp lies at an altitude of 4,230 meters, where mountaineers start their ascent of Annapurna I( 8,091 m), the 10th highest peak in the world. The trail crosses terrains ranging from glacier moraine and rice terraces and rocky stone steps. Also along the way, the trail offers an amphitheater of huge Himalayan peaks. The trek takes you through the villages of the ethnic Gurung and Thakali communities. They are famous for their incredibly tasty Nepali food – Dal Bhat, also known as ‘Thakali’ sets.

The major inhabitants of the Annapurna Region are the Gurung, Magar, Thakali, Manange, and Loba people. Most of the people here follow Buddhism. The Annapurna Base Camp Luxury trek is available all year round. But it is especially beautiful during spring as rhododendron flowers along the trail turn red, pink and white. The trail falls within the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP). This is the largest protected area in Nepal, home to 1,226 species of flowering plants, 102 mammals, 474 birds, 39 reptiles and 22 amphibians.

The prominent peaks of the western part of the great Mt. Annapurna, along with Mt. Hiunchuli, Mt. Annapurna South, Mt. Fang, Mt. Annapurna I, Mt. Ganagapurna, Mt. Annapurna III and Mt. Machhapuchhare, are arrayed almost clearly in a circle amidst a deep glacier-covered amphitheater at the center. From this glacier basin, known as the Annapurna Sanctuary, the Modi Khola cuts its way south in a narrow gorge fully 12,000 ft. deep. And the gorge opens up further south, into a wide and fertile valley, the domain of the Gurungs.

The Annapurna Base Camp with Poon Hill Trek is one of the most popular trek for hiking and culture lover. This is not only trek. This 15 days package cover Kathmandu Valley UNESCO Sites Tour and Pokhara city and nature day tour.

Thanks Atrractive Travel for our smooth trip, even though we had so many last minute changes in our trek and during the trek too and you accommodated all. We enjoyed throughout and we will sure comeback. ABC place itself is surreal and impact is several times than one can imagine. Again thanks a lot for such a wonderful trek.
