The Muktinath Spiritual Trek is a sacred journey through the ancient Mustang region of Nepal. This moderate-grade pilgrimage is ideal for spiritual seekers, culture enthusiasts, and mountain lovers alike. Additionally, you will explore dramatic desert landscapes and traditional Tibetan-style villages protected under the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP).
First, your Muktinath Spiritual Trek adventure begins with a scenic drive or flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara. From there, you will take a mountain flight to Jomsom along the Kaligandaki River valley. Along the way, you will visit ancient monasteries, apple orchards, and stone-paved streets in Marpha. Consequently, you can experience rich Buddhist culture and traditional Himalayan hospitality.
However, the true crown jewel of the Muktinath Spiritual Trek is visiting the revered Muktinath Temple at 3,800 meters. At the temple, pilgrims bathe under 108 sacred water spouts to cleanse their souls. In addition, official travel permits for visiting lower Mustang can be verified through the Nepal Tourism Board. Afterward, you will hike through Jharkot village, enjoying stunning views of Nilgiri and Dhaulagiri.
Furthermore, are you looking to explore more of the region? In fact, the Muktinath Spiritual Trek route easily connects with the Annapurna Circuit Trek or the Mardi Himal Trek. Similarly, you can add our full-day Kathmandu UNESCO World Heritage Tour before starting your trip. Ultimately, the best seasons for this pilgrimage are spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November).

Jomsom Trek serves to enhance your trekking experience! We had Jeevan as our guide and he was a great guy! Teahouses accoms was settled the moment we hit the teahouses as Jeevan arranged it well with them. He also recommends the best timings for certain parts of the treks or views. He was also very flexible when we wanted to change up the itinerary too!
Overall, Jomsom Trek was something we didn’t regret and we kept recommending to our friends!
